For this series, I chose to focus on textures. I tried to zoom in as much as possible in order to capture the rich textures. My approach was this: I put the camera on the macro setting. I found very interesting, flat textures, and zoomed in as far as I possibly could without having any blurriness.

Out of all the series we created, these are my best twenty. Towards the last series, my main goal was to try to get much closer to the pepper or mushroom itself and to eliminate the background and foreground so there's a more mysterious feel to it. In the end, I came to find out that the mushrooms tended to be more photogenic and had much richer textures and shapes, even though I found some very unique and odd looking peppers. My other main goal was to really darken each picture to, once again, give it that mysterious feel.
