The object of this project was to show leading lines and depth. In my pictures above, you can see where the line starts, but not where it ends. Taking these kinds of pictures shows lines that continuously go on and shows that there is depth to pictures.
I really like the angles that you used to show depth, especially for the second one and the road one. The like the third one (of the ground) but I think that it would fit the assignment more if you tilted the angle of the camera to show more depth. I really like all of them though!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome set. I really like how you manage to show so much depth between the camera and the subject. You really made the angles off of surfaces work well. The photo that best exemplified depth staging was the first. Although I originally thought that the subject was a bit too small in the scheme of the photo, I realized it actually made the bench seem incredibly far away (great for depth staging). I believe that the third and fourth photo also showed depth staging, but I would have appreciated it more if I could see more of the background and just a bit less of the ground. Nevertheless, you used walls and surfaces to your advantage and that added a surprising amount of depth to all your photos as well as making them look somewhat dramatic. great work
ReplyDeleteYour last picture, is unarguably the best. The angle you shot it from was a major factor in getting the great shot. The line seems to go on forever linearly and the open sky above really adds a sense of being small. Except for that, I don't know what else to say about that shot. I just really like it. The shot that tht could use the most improvement would be the one directly above the road photo. I just didn't feel any depth. It's similar to your first photo, but in that one you managed to get deep in the crevice, which gave a corridor like feeling. Maybe if you got the shot deeper in the groove in the wood, it might have worked. Overall great job though.
