I am trying to emulate Richard Avedon's portraits by taking the pictures in black and white, having the people I am photographing stand in front of a white/blank wall, and having them show emotions, but through their eyes rather than being very dramatic.
Good pictures! I think that you really understand how to take pictures in Richard Avedon's style. However I feel like you should try to photograph more people for more diversity.
ReplyDeleteNice set. Your models are all very expressive. My only recommendation is that you try to avoid dark spaces. It makes details hard to see in the photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat Pictures! i think that you capture the emotions and feeling so much better that you did with your first series. each photo is its own and individual from everything else and i also really like how you open with a picture of yourself, have three pictures for two people and then end on another picture of you. i am very curious to know why. one small critique i have is to lighten the pictures of Kyle a little more because its a little hard for me to see him. Overall Great Job!
ReplyDeleteThese are all really well done, you seem to know exactly when to take a photo to capture the emotion they are showing. I suggest trying to get more variety in people, and maybe not be in dark areas.
ReplyDeleteReally good set, I think that your sets are increasing in emotion. Overall I really like these!
