For this series, I combined both close ups and textures. I tried to get a variety of textures and of objects, so I took pictures of all different things with all different shapes, colors, and textures.
I like the concept for this series and I think it has a lot of potential once you spend more time on it. I like the one with the tacks and I think it would be cool if you focused on common objects up close like that.
I believe that this is a rather strong set. You're first photos is one of the best out of the batch. If you could expand on that it would be very interesting. The abstraction in some of these photos is also very well done as well. The leaves photos isn't quite as strong, since there isn't too much texture or abstract imagery. I suggest you try more flower photos or abstract ones like the first, third, and sixth.
You did a really good job at capturing a variety of textures and objects from closer up. They seem really individual and different from each other which works in your benefit for this set. Only advice is that you may want to brighten a few of your photos because a couple seem a bit dark.
